Tynex brushes are the best brushes to use when cleaning your muzzleloader.

The Tynex synthetic brushes can tolerate reversing directions in the bore, while a phosphor brush is intended to only reverse after the brush has passed through the barrel and the bristles have relaxed. Reversing the phosphor brush while still in the bore damages the bristles and ruins the brush.
